It's official! Konami have secured the exclusive license to bring the 2016 UEFA European Championship to Pro Evolution Soccer!

With the famous Henri Delaunay trophy currently on display at the PES stand at gamescom (seen below), Konami are clearly in high spirits as they prepare to show PES 2016 to the general public for the first-ever time.

Interestingly, the press release states the Euro 2016 license "will not feature in PES 2016, though further information on how the license will be activated will be coming early next year".

Konami today also released their PES 2016 gamescom trailer, as well as confirming the teams that'll be playable in the PES 2016 demo.

Available from August 13th on PS4, PS3, Xbox One and Xbox 360, fans will be able to play with the following seven teams: Juventus, Roma, Bayern Munich, Corinthians, Palmeiras, Brazil and France.
