The newly-appointed Community Leader of the PES franchise, Adam Bhatti, has come to the rescue and has offered Pro Evo fans a break from the blank stares and tumbleweed minds we've all come to expect during this time of year.
Although a handful of senior members from the PES Team, including Jon Murphy and more recently Kei Masuda, have already discussed the series' new engine - coming to PES 2014 later this year - the game itself is still waiting to be officially announced.
However, Adam confirms the PES Team are working hard behind-the-scenes ensuring the big reveal does the game justice. Reading between the lines, it sounds like an announcement may not be too far away.
Interestingly, when asked about PES 2014, the former WENB chief states "the past is the past", suggesting that now, armed with a new engine, the PES Team have finally wriggled free from the technological restrictions which, according to Konami, have held the series back in recent years.
The PES European Community Manager adds, "we're looking forward with past problems behind us, and a dedication to create something new – a game-changer".
Intriguing? We certainly think so! Make sure you leave a comment below and tell us what you think.
