After last month's regional qualifying tournaments, Munich hosted the biggest PES tournament of the year, as Europe's best PES 2012 players came together on Saturday afternoon.
UK representative Artur Musial - better known as Arczi - progressed to the knockouts after a comfortable group stage. However, with the support of hundreds of his fellow countrymen behind him, Germany rep Mike Linden was able to overcome Artur with a 3-0 semi-final victory.

The German then played Benjamin C. Quintan in the final, and with one last effort on goal in injury time, Mike beat the Spaniard 4-3 scoring with the last kick of the game. By becoming champion, Mike won a pair of Champions League Final tickets and was at the Allianz Arena that evening to see Chelsea beat Bayern Munich on penalties.
Congratulations to Mike, Artur and everyone else who participated in the fantastically well-run tournament.
Finally, after making a 30-hour trip for the event, our friend Marvin Ronsdorf of prorevo has uploaded a collection of photos:
Konami UK, who travelled with Arczi, also attended the event. Below are a selection of their photos from Champions League Final day. Go here to check out the rest:
