In a recent interview with MCV, Konami UK general manager Pete Stone revealed that he believes the Pro Evolution Soccer series is closing the gap between themselves and FIFA.
“I don't think there's a massive gap in terms of playability. There are certain areas we need to improve, but it's not a huge gap - and we're gradually closing it.”
Mr Stone also went on and suggested that Konami have issued a long-term plan for PES, in order to improve the PES titles of the future.
“We've made progress and that's beginning to be noticed, but we're also going to spend a few years rebuilding PES and sales.”
What could that mean for PES 2012? What could that mean for PES 2013, and other future PES titles? We can't say much at the moment, so we'll just have to wait and see what Konami have in store for us.
